Evening dog walk at the IPE. Normally this rodeo ground would be prepping for the big annual show that attracts over 160,000 to this small town of 10,000.
Smoke almost clear tonight. Fluffy clouds can be seen over it, or hugging the mountains below the setting sun.

I have been trying to find info on Japanese - SE Asia Buddhist relations since the Meiji but it is pretty sparse out there. Jaffe of course. Have you heard of anything else? Maybe I am looking for something that doesn’t exist 🤷♂️ (sorry to butt in like this)

Once when I was living in Van we drove to Seattle to see Pearl Jam. It was their “last concert” and also the night before the first Bush election. Crazy times. We were so scared to drive to Seattle! A bunch of wide-eyed Canadian kids scared of getting shot.

I think that was the first concert I ever attended. The next was when I was 18. Bryan Adams… at the Budokan in Tokyo!! 😂

We were deep in the mountains so didn’t get to see many concerts. For that BR concert we left our small town after graveyard shift at the mill, drove 8 hours, watched the show, slept, drove 8 hours back. I think I was 17 or 18 at the time.

Omg. I saw them live twice in Vancouver. Once at the Ukrainian Cuuktural Center and once at like some sort of X-Games opening ceremony. There was some puking but not on the stage 😂
