Today marks the final day in funerary proceedings for my father-in-law, for whom we came to Japan this year and passed in the summer. Today we interred his ashes at the cemetery. Although cloudy, it was a gorgeous day with many fallen leaves carpeting the grounds of the (1/2)

What a day! Met some lovely “internet people” in Shizuoka on the way up to Tokyo where I have connected with some old Kyoto mates from almost 20 years ago. Everyone is married with kids now! So we ate Caribbean food and talked about time and current affairs. Now I am riding (1/2)

Good point! We were on the other side of the river so I couldn’t get a close look. Often you will see construction workers parking on the edge of the river if they are doing work on the path, a bridge, or a building. But I don’t see any construction in the photo 🤷🏽♀️
