We are getting Nuro in 2 weeks. It is theoretically 2GB, I look forward to testing it and will report back if it isn’t too late for you. But as Daniel notes, neighbourhood matters.

I am still on http://Mastodon.social, and would like to move somewhere else, but I haven’t found a server that really draws me in yet. I would ideally like to join where a lot of the foreign community in Japan is at. Not sure where that is yet (except still on Twitter!)

Lovely panel! Really enjoyed listening and reliving the film.
I watched with my 12yo. I was getting all the 90s references & she was getting all the embarrassing mom moments! 🤣 Great fun had by all!! And such a good followup to Bao, my fav Pixar of all time.

For political economy of tech, Morozov is a good place to start. “To Save Everything, Click here” captures a lot of hubris.

We have 17 people who attend ~20 conferences a year, in all possible permutations. Sometimes as speakers, sometimes as attendees. We pay for some, sometimes it is (partially) covered. I am trying to figure out:
- how much does this cost over a year?
- where is everyone when?

Professional event manager question: for your company/school, how do you keep track of who is going to what conferences? (with associated metadata of date, deadlines, costs, etc) I feel like there has got to be a better way than me making an Airtable for this.
