Check out today’s thread from Universal Studios Japan! Was overcast, but muggy. We hit Nintendo World 🕹 Jurassic Park 🦖 Attack on Titan ⚔️ and Harry Potter World 🧙♂️ Thought we could beat the summer crowds by going on a weekday. Turns out that was an idea shared by millions!😅 https://twitter.com/chadkoh/status/1537231962381111296

It wasn’t too much of a big deal inside tbh, just an outer wrap. It is on the loop line so you don’t even have to be going to USJ. Next time you are down in Osaka, keep your eye out, and surprise him! 😜👍

We thought we would go on a weekday before summer break to beat the crowds. Unfortunately only about 10 million other people had the same idea!

Clothes shopping with my teenage daughter:
“Yeah, no, Dad, that won’t look good on you.”
“Why not? Are the colours too 70s?”
“No, just it’s more for … flat … people.”
😅 Very … diplomatic. 😅

What a stimulating day. I had an 8am meeting with a colleague and we jammed on some cool stuff. Had lunch with a friend and more sweeping conversations. Then an 8pm meeting with another colleague where we made some great connections. Collaboration is the best, isn’t it? 🥰

Super hot day. Had a lovely falafel, black(?) pita, and pomegranate juice at a cool Lebanese place on Kiyamachi. Long lunch and long catch-up talk with a friend. Good times! 🇱🇧 #kyoto

I don’t know how often they make rounds like this. I need to find out. I have been here for a month now, and I don’t think I heard them on past Sundays. Maybe because tomorrow is an Uposatha day?

I usually see them on corners at big intersections, but this is the first time I have seen them wandering the sidestreets.

Sunday morning. I hear the calling of Buddhist monks on alms round as they walk down the narrow street in front of my house. I give some dana.
