OMG I am so tired after watching such amazing skaters all day. I never even uploaded any pics or vids! I will process and upload all my photos soon, in the meantime, here is Hanyu Yuzuru (the GOD) finishing his set, the crowd going WILD and raining Pooh bear stuffies down!

Last night I noticed Japanese figure skating supporters had descended on Kelowna for the Skate Canada International. We have tickets too, so expect lots of tweets over the next few days. Today is training, so here are some shots of the skaters and Japanese supporters!

Not only that but I think your delivery has gotten better too. Really good pacing and enunciation. Dunno if you have had any professional training or if pure talent, but it deffo isn’t just something you do in post-production! 👏 👏 👏

Discovered this podcast a couple months ago and been working through the backlog. Finally at 2019. I am not into scary/horror stuff, but I love the cultural nuggets she digs up! Also cool to hear the production quality improve over time. This ep is what got me hooked: https://twitter.com/UncannyJapan/status/1172015614610640896

I have no idea what this is or where it is from. But by going by their ears their names are “Ki” and “Kai”, and I like to think collectively this is a mascot for Opportunity (jp. kikai) and I want aboard!

Was really looking forward to that proportional representation that JT promised us… Truth is tho, I suspect PR will start in the provinces first, before it bubbles up to Federal. Similar to the women’s vote last century.

Shocking to see how much tinkering is done in our education system — always chasing the dragon of “innovation.” What is happening in comparative education analysis (they *must* be out there)? There are gains to be had by learning from say Asian knowledge-based curricula.
(original)

Catching up with #weekendreading this piece on skills vs knowledge-based curriculum was excellent — I think I have observed this when comparing ed systems across countries I have been in.

I’ve heard good things about Extreme Ownership. I am worried though that “extreme” could lead to silos (owning something so much that you don’t work with other stakeholders). I will watch for your review on GoodReads.
