Yeah that’s the appeal to me of shodo. It Venn’s with improving my Japanese as well as Buddhism. I always wanted to do 写経！ Also admire it as an art form. I follow shodoka on Twitter!

Tea also appeals as it overlaps with all of these things. It’s a gateway drug to refinement.
